Who We Are

I installed lawn sprinklers for over 35 years. My installation company was, Key Sprinkler Co., Inc., has been with the BBB since 1981 and have never had a complaint. Also, my company has been referred by customers on Angies List with straqight A's on the report cards. We were known for installing a maintenance free system that actually is aesthically pleasing and if used properly conserves water.  I can design and specify your yard so that you can benefit from my expertise.

Our Business

For about 20 years I also operated a Lawn Irrigation Repair Company. In the last 10 years I have seen the Lawn Irrigation Industry in Texas deteriorate. Homeowners are constantly being taken advantage of.  The average lifetime of a Lawn Irrigation Company is 3 to 5 years. Our State enforcement cannot keep up with the complaints and how can they with only a couple of investigators for the whole state. We were getting 40 calls a day for service in the summer from homeowners that we did not install. A lot of these systems were less than six months old. They were always asking me to add heads to zones that did not cover because of to many heads or gallons and small piping. I would have to explain that if you add more gallons or heads to a section that is not covering, you would just make it worst. I guess a lot of people think that if they go with the low bid, even if it doesn't work well, it would be easy to fix. Then they find out they will have to start over or spend nearly what they originally paid to re-do sections, piping, and adding heads. When adding sections you have got to run wires to controller and have a larger controller. We even had to change our policy and now will only service systems that we installed.

I am hoping that our industry will turn around and have more companies installing properly. Until then having a design will at least ensure that your yard will be installed properly
